Inspire - Me - Mondays: Bouquet Alternatives

Thanks for tuning back in this week for more inspiring ideas, glad you swung by to be Inspired! I'm torn in this post. Part of me is saying, " Flowers are one of the most beautiful elements of a wedding... why in the world would you promote a bouquet alternative?!?!" But of course the artsy side of me just loves anything different so, here you go... bouquet alternatives. Tell me what you think. Do you like? Hate. Let me just say there are SO many tacky ones I did not post, I worked hard to try to get cool ones. So leave a comment, let me know, do flowers trump all or is one of these blowin' your mind?

1- Seashell bouquets

2-  Felt bouquets

I could see these being cool at the right wedding and it would certainly save the $$- put the money towards a blow-your-socks off photographer :)

Paper Flowers

These have come a long way since I last saw them!

... and over sized paper bouquets wowzers!

Book page bouquets

Yarn ball bouquets

A bouquet for everyone I guess!

Plaster Flower Bouquets

My friend Megan Wells (check out her awesome blog HERE) used to be a designer (like do all the cool window sets etc) for Anthropologie and she told me one about how she was dipping fake flowers in plaster and painting them... I feel like this is what that is.  Kinda cool.

Brooch Bouquets

Okay if I did forgo the flower bouquet it would be for this, I LOVE these.  I did a whole post of them HERE

Fabric Bouquets

I did kinda swoon when I saw this!

So, what do you think? Do fresh flowers trump all or did one of these win you over? I think fresh flowers win... but if not, the brooch bouquet and this fabric bouquet are pretty darn cool!  Hope you enjoyed and if you don't yet follow us on Facebook I invite you to scroll to the right sidebar and click the Facebook Icon and "Like" Us.  I'm in high gear posting lots of weddings engagements and as usual your favorite Inspire-Me-Mondays!

* Note: pictures shown in Inspire-Me-Monday posts are not taken by me unless they contain my watermark.

Cheers!!!

  1. I think it depends on the look you are going for. The alternatives like fabric and paper really do play into the DIY/shabby chic trend. And I do love the brooch bouquets! I could pass on the yarn and seashells, though!

  2. If I had to choose, I'd be going with the brooch bouquets. They look so stunning and definitely unique!
