This month I had the opportunity to photograph Melissa and Dan's beautiful wedding and Westfields Marriott. If you feel like you've seen these lovely people before, you're right! They were my AMAZING couple that ran through the sunflower fields with me for their engagement this past summer. If you missed that engagement (posted on Bride and Groom Washingtonian ) you can check out my blog post HERE .
I knew from shooting Melissa and Dan's engagement session that I was in for a real treat. The two are absolutely so fun totally laid back. The day was full of laughter, and as you can see Melissa was just stunningly beautiful.
After getting Dan set in place for their first look, I walked back to the hotel room to get Melissa. I found her standing in this dark room looking out the window at her husband-to-be with a soft smile on her face, it was a very beautiful moment that I was privileged to capture.
At their first look, Melissa broke out into tears the moment Dan turned around; it was so very sweet!
The guys did their Reservoir Dogs pictures, they were so funny
This was Melissa's beautiful Korean wedding dress she changed into it for the cocktail hour.
Their first dance...
and their touching father daughter/ mother son dances. One thing I really enjoyed about this wedding was the strong sense of family- you can see how much each of them loves their parents just by glancing at one image can't you?
...and I must say Dan and his friend were CRACKING ME UP on the dance floor. The two of them were non stop. It was hard to move away from them with my camera, they were just so fun!
There are many more pictures from this wonderful day that I would love to share with you all... but that wouldn't leave them much surprise for their album I'm designing now would it? Thanks Melissa and Dan for allowing me to capture this special day in your life! Blessings to you both in your new life together.
